Vinegar and Baking Soda are good for your cast iron bath and for your health (when compared with other chemical cleaning products)

When you invest in a cast iron bath you want to keep it sparkling so you can indulge in each bath time and relax. Andrea Fox’s article gives some tips on maintaining your cast iron bath the green way using vinegar and baking soda.

Andrea write of her cast iron bath:

To attack the tub (mine is made of old enameled cast iron), start with the vinegar spray to kill red and green molds and other germs, then rinse and move onto the baking soda soft scrub and get out your scrub brush. A knee pad will support you as you muscle through the job. For deeper stains, make an oxygen bleach paste with a little water and let sit for 30 minutes.
